My Bloody Valentine 3D is a 2009 remake of the 1981 Canadian slasher film of the same name. The film was directed and edited by Patrick Lussier and stars Jensen Ackles and Jaime King. The film had a 3-D theatrical release; It was released on January 16, 2009 by Lionsgate, to surprisingly positive reviews and box office success.
- Mamma Mia! is a 2008 stage-to-film adaptation of the 1999 West End musical of the same name, based on the songs of successful pop group ABBA, with additional music also composed by ABBA member Benny Andersson. Meryl Streep heads the cast of the film, playing the role of single mother Donna Sheridan. Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, and Stellan Skarsgård play the three possible fathers to Donna’s daughter Sophie (Amanda Seyfried).

- Bridget Jones’s Diary is a British 2001 romantic comedy film, based on the novel of the same name written by Helen Fielding. The adaptation starred Renee Zellweger as Bridget, Hugh Grant as the caddish Daniel Cleaver and Colin Firth as Bridget’s ‘true love’ Mark Darcy. A sequel, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, was released in 2004.
- 13 Going On 30 is a 2004 comedy movie starring Jennifer Garner. It has a similar premise to the films Wish Upon a Star, and Freaky Friday, in which girls’ souls were swapped into different bodies. Unlike the movies Big, “Vice Versa”, and “14 Going On 30″ (1988), in which boys were physically transformed into adult men, in this movie a 13 year old girl appears to skip 17 years of her life, and wakes up as a successful businesswoman in the future. It was produced by Revolution Studios for Columbia Pictures.
- Knocked Up is a 2007 American comedy film, co-produced, written and directed by Judd Apatow. Starring Seth Rogen, Katherine Heigl, Paul Rudd, and Leslie Mann, the film follows the repercussions of a drunken one night stand between Rogen’s slacker character and Heigl’s just-promoted media personality character that results in an unintended pregnancy.
